Popular singer Rukantha supports president Rajapaksa

Jan 17, 2010 10:36 AM · Rukantha Gunatilake, a popular local singer, has appeared in an election rally in Kurunegala in support of president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

On the occasion, he spoke a few words and sang for the people present.

During the regime of president Chandrika Kumaratunga, the home of Rukantha and his wife, songstress Chandralekha, was attacked.

They, together with their children, had fled the country due to threats to their lives.

The couple returned home only recently.

Ashok said :	It is time to save the country from Ranil again.SF is merely a puppet of UNP and JVP will soon to find places to hide if SF wins.Ranil a.k.a as Millenium Traitor again fished SF to come to power using his popularity as a soldier.But SF soon will realise(now he is power hungry and do not see his great betrayal to country)the mistakes.I wish and hope all these NGO's Jayalath Jayawardena and all remnants of LTTE who supports UNP and JVP will be carried away by another Tsunami.
